(...) 2. (...) 3. The act of pledging oneself to a particular view or position: articulated her strong committal to world peace. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/committal Committal Proceedings If an injunction order is broken you can ask the court to send your opponent to prison, (committal). You must show that your opponent has deliberately broken the injunction. The County Court and High Court have powers to either send your opponent to prison for up to 2 years or suspend the sentence as a warning to your opponent that if he/she breaks the injunction order again he/she could be sent to prison. Or, they can order your opponent to pay a fine. The injunction order must have been personally served on your opponent before you can apply for committal. http://www.compactlaw.co.uk/free_legal_information/injunctio... |
