my poor attempts:

1) petitioner/petitioner --> ricorrente/ricorrente (then I was wondering why they repeat the same term two times)

2) respondent/defendant --> imputato ??? no idea! help!

agree  Oscar Romagnone: Sì, ma nelle cause di divorzio il termine "imputato" è fuori luogo. Hai tradotto bene i primi due termini mentre per gli ultimi due utilizzerei di preferenza "resistente (respondent)" e "convenuto (defendant)"...
