Appunti di Linguistica Diacronica :...fish significa sia "pesce" che "pescare", a seconda di ciò che precede: se è preceduto da un articolo sarà il nome (the fish = il pesce), se è preceduto da un pronome, o dall'introduttore dell'infinito to, o da un verbo modale come can "potere", ecc. sarà il verbo (I fish, you fish, I can fish,... to fish = io pesco, tu peschi, posso pescare,...pescare.
