Ciao a tutti.
oggi ho una domanda di grammatica da porvi.
la frase è «Aerobics classes were twice a week. I'd buzz and be let into the grandiose foyer by Olga"
Stiamo parlando di una descrizione al passato, ma non riesco a capire l'uso di quella D apostrofata + forma base del verbo. Non può essere un condizionale (would buzz) non ha senso, a meno che non si intenda come qualcosa che accade di frequente, una sorta di azione che si ripete, "abitudine", ma non mi pare il caso. Può essere un uso moderno e AMERICANO, l'autrice è CANADESE, del past simple. Ho ipotizzato fosse un'abbreviazione di DID..che mi dite a riguardo?
Questo uso è frequente nel romanzo, molto frequente.
