Scusate, ma in questo caso (se si tratta di una sorta di regime alimentare) credo invece che la traduzione sia questa. "Serve" letteralmente e' il termine usato in agricoltura per indicare quando la mucca va dal toro (!) per essere ingravidata. La logica dice che dopo essere rimasta incinta cambiera' il regime alimentare, ed e' per questo che viene indicato nello schema.
Non ho esempi, solo esperienza personale (i miei hanno una fattoria)
