contesto:

Engine instability under load on telehandler, backhoe & agricultural tractor applications

A number of instances have been reported on the above applications of engine surge and hunting when under load. To overcome this problem a modification has been introduced where the idle spring and peg are replaced with components of a different specification.

parliamo di un motore termico, pertanto il significato di \'surge\' come sovratensione non si applica.
\'surge\' indica un aumento improvviso del regime del motore (opposto a \'stall\'= stallo).
\'hunting\' è un fenomeno di instabilità del motore che è come se vibrasse attorno ad una posizione centrale, quasi come se cercasse (\'hunt\')di raggiungere, oscillando, una posizione precisa.
in italiano si parla di pendolamento.
