L'elettroerosione è una tecnica utilizzata dall'industria per poter lavorare con grande precisione tutti i tipi di materiale conduttore (metalli, leghe, grafite, ceramiche, etc...) independentemente dalla loro durezza.
Definizione
Si definisce processo di elettroerosione l'asportazione di materiale mediante una serie successiva di scariche elettriche, separate da un intervallo di tiempo, che si scambiano tra due poli (elettrodo od utensile di lavoro e pezzo da lavorare).
Le scariche sono originate da generatori di impulsi elettrici.
