TURBINA
WARNING- THE EXPANDER SHOULD NOT BE OPERATED UNLESS THE TRIP MECHANISM IS KNOWN TO BE IN WORKING ORDER.
Rotor
The rotor is an overhung design with the disk mounted to the inboard end of the shaft, and located in the axial flow of the gas.
The disk containing the rotating blades is attached to the end of the shaft by the use of eight studs with nuts.
The interface between the disk and the shaft is a gleason spline.
This gleason spline face allows for the transmission of torque and the centering of the disk to the shaft under thermal operating conditions.
The thrust collar is integral with the shaft.
The coupling, speed pick-up and trip pick-up collars are mounted on the outboard end of the shaft.
