Si trova in un questionario relativo ai tipi di catetere utilizzati per l'infusione di un farmaco per via sottocutanea. Si parla infatti di "bifurcated (forked) catheter" in opposizione a "straight catheter". Verrebbe da utilizzare "catetere a due vie", ma in genere questo termine indica il classico catetere vescicale in cui il secondo tubicino, più corto, è riservato all'insufflazione dell'aria nel palloncino che trattiene il catetere. D'altro canto, non esiste alcuna attestazione in rete per un catetere "biforcato", "a forcella" né tantomeno "a y", e infine, non sono sicuro che "doppio catetere" indichi la stessa cosa.
