Nonostante abbia cercato a lungo, i riscontri in rete per i termini in oggetto sono pochi, e non riesco a capire a cosa si riferiscano esattamente:

sumption of a fish oil diet for 22 wk eliminated both
vascular thrombus and lesion formation after
mechanical vascular injury (Harker et al. 1993). Al
though we measured only thromboxane A2 release in
the present study, the effects of fish oil may involve a
number of other pathways, some of which are *free
oxygen generation*, EDRF synthesis/activity, PGI2/
PGI3 release and platelet-activating factor synthesis".
Le uniche altre due volte che nomina l'ossigeno nel testo sono in riferimento alla formazione di radicali liberi dell'ossigeno, come qui:
"These beneficial effects of fish oil on atherosclerosis, myocardial ischemia and coronary blood flow have been attributed to modest platelet inhibition, decrease in plasma fibrinogen and reduction in release of oxygen-derived free radicals from neutrophils and myocytes".
La costruzione della frase in oggetto, però, mi porta fuori strada, e non mi sembra che si riferisca ai radicali. Qualcuno sa a cosa si riferisce? Grazie a tutti. |
