abinando "relef" a quel "deep", io lo leggo come solco trasversale profondo di sfogo...
parecchi risontri in rete di relief grooves quanto alle denture bases.
naturalmente senza foto o contesto, si trata di pura congettura. cmq, volevo solo indicarti anche questa possibilita/via di lettura del termine, come sgrondo/scarico di qualcosa, tipo per es. di tensione ma anche di qualcosa di liquido accumulato...
