intendo dire che, data una serie di terapie, quella biologica dovrebbe essere "schedulata" verso la fine del trattamento, perchè potrebbe entrare in conflitto con altri tipi di terapie (non biologiche)

penso voglia dire che i maggiori benefici della terapia biologica saranno avuti dalle persone che sono soggette a trattamenti medici continuati nel tempo e che per questo saranno prima o poi soggetti a un conflitto con altre cure addizionali / con altri farmaci. Mentre la terapia biologica, alla lunga non dà questi problemi oppure si può utilizzare quando si presentano questi conflitti tra cure/farmarci.

agree  Alfredo Tutino: cioè terapia più omplessa, impegnativa e/o costosa (ed efficace, si spera..). Forse direi "a un gradino più alto della scala terapeutica" ("higher" è comparativo, non superlativo relativo)
