pazienti che si sottopongono a operazioni chirurgiche in day hospital (cioè che non sono ricoverati).
Non so se esiste un termine specifico per day surgery (non credo si possa lasciare in inglese, al contrario di day hospital, che è ormai entrato a far parte del linguaggio comune).

disagree  Gilberto Lacchia: Non e' sinonimo di day hospital. Il termine "day surgery" indica specificamente un intervento chirurgico effettuato in giornata ed e' specificamente riferito alla tecnica e alle modalità operatorie. Va lasciato in inglese.
