Parlando di oggetti e gioielli antichi, trovo l'espressione in oggetto che non riesco a rendere adeguatamente in italiano. Un pò di contesto:"The tesserae were carefully and tightely arranged into the desired composition, then fused to the ground of the *mosaic plaque* by firing using similar skills used by enamellers...".
