It recently rolled out its first batch of 28T *roof support carrier vehicles* -the first high capacity heavy duty equipment made by the manufacturer, and when it came to choosing its tyres the choice was obvious: Infinity. Having supplied them with tyres for other types of equipment in the past Infinity was the company’s first choice.

Ciao Lorenza, cito una parte del testo del tuo link : "Diesel-powered roof support carriers carry your roof supports the full distance at maximum speed and lowest cost."
Per me, questa frase spiega che il veicolo in questione serve a trasportare i "roof supports", per cui secondo me, la traduzione e' valida. Che ne pensi?

sinceramente non sono sicura al 100% che "centina" sia il termine giusto per i roof supports delle miniere. Però so che nelle miniere si usano proprio "supporti idraulici" per i tetti

Asker: Grazie Gisella per la proposta! In realtà avevo già trovato quel link, ma ho il sospetto che si tratti di una traduzione automatica... tanto più che si trova praticamente solo su directindusty... In realtà penso che roof sia il tetto del veicolo, e che il materiale venga trasportato sul tetto.
Asker: Gisella, hai ragione, avevo preso un granchio... l'idea è proprio quella che hai spiegato tu! Forse per roof supports si potrebbe parlare di "centine"!?!
Asker: Allora dopo una estenuante ricerca nell'ambito delle miniere di carbone roof supporters = armature
per cui ho optato per "veicoli per il trasporto delle armature"
