proofreading significa in genere controllo e correzione delle bozze a tutti i livelli, dall'errore tip. fino al controllo di conformità ai criteri editoriali, editing delle note, bibliog.etc.; ma a volte lo si usa anche per la revisione traduzioni (e questo è sempre stato un mio dubbio, e spero che qualcuno me lo tolga... è così?) ciao

In francese è lo stesso e mi sembra che sia la risposta giusta. «Correzione bozze » potrebbe essere la traduzione di «correction d'épreuve ». Nel campo della trraduzione , il termine « révision » è usatissimo.

agree  Blue Ink: è vero, la trad.letterale è correzione di bozze, d'accordo anche con Floriana...ma era proprio questa la ragione del dubbio...

  -> In genere ti si richiede un proof reading quando il testo è ancora da consegnare al cliente. Una revisione quando il cliente non ha accettato il testo. Ciao!
