cellule esfoliate/esfoliato


Explanation:
Gilberto Macchia secondo me ha ragione, ma -nel contesto proposto- penso si possa usare "cellule esfoliate". Intendo dire che si tratta di cellule epiteliali che si sono distaccate, precisamente _esfoliate_ dalle mucose.

P.es., nel caso di Pap-test, si parla anche di "epitelio esfoliato della cervice uterina", ecc.

Nel caso si trattasse di cute, in italiano potremmo anche usare "desquamate".
