Cat, per potenzialità io intendo la capacità (teorica) che ha qualcuno di raggiungere un certo risultato. Ma per arrivare a quel risultato poi bisogna applicarsi in pratica. Da qui la scelta di "sforzo".
Per quanto riguarda "bilanciamento" vs "equilibrio", potresti aver ragione tu, visto che non sono un esperto nel campo :)

Asker: Grazie Gianni! Non capisco, però, da dove arrivi "discreto sforzo". Io avevo inteso "potential" come "potenzialità" (e "balance" come "equilibrio").
