there is no difference -
Explanation:
both "nail enamel" and "nail polish" refer to"smalto"

--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 2003-05-27 10:58:53 (GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

the only difference is that nail enamels tend to be stronger and more chip resistant. If you access the link below (a review of a particular nail enamel) you will see that nail \"varnish\" , \"polish\" and \"enamel\" are used interchangeably. If you do a google search you will find that nail \"enamels\" are those which purport to be longer lasting and more chip resistant.

to clear up the confusion see the following links, which show colour charts and descriptions for polishes/enamels - you will see that both polishes and enamels amount to the same thing, and that both can come in glossy, pearl, \"matte\" sheer or metallic finishes. www.nsnails.co.uk/misa.html

vs

Explanation:

38 mins

disagree  manducci: nail polish is synonymous with nail enamel. nail polish REMOVER is what we women folk use to take the stuff off!!
