I agree with you on the advantages of being able to interchange personnel between the AI Station and the pig growing facility. However we must be able to use the latter as a grow-out capable of taking gilts directly from the Irish multipliers and providing the environmental conditions that allows bursitis to clear up. We cannot afford to have holding accommodation for gilts (scrofette) at both ends.

Non so se c'è un termine più specifico in italiano. Forse "strutture di cura", però "cura" non corrisponde esattamente a "holding", quindi preferei usare ubn termine più generico.
