Explanation:
anello/fascia elastica aggiuntiva/antiusura/"flame ring" (+ proposte)

Dato che nel contesto dei pistoni i "piston rings" (Piston ring: A metal, split ring installed in the groove on the outside wall of the piston http://www.motorera.com/dictionary/car-dicp.htm#PistonRing ) vengono solitamente resi con "fasce elastiche" ( http://www.engineforall.com/archivio/2006/04/14-il-pistone-i... ) penso potresti mettere:

Fascia elastica antiusura/antilevigatura
Fascia elastica elimina-residui di carbonio
Fascia elastica/anello elimina-depositi sul cielo del pistone
Fascia elastica aggiuntiva superiore
Fascia/anello "Anti Polishing"
"Fascia/Anello di fiamma"

hope that helps

One of the solutions to mitigate cylinder polish is to place an anti-polish ring 30 (also know as * flame ring, fire ring, or carbon cutting ring *) into the cylinder liner wall 12 adjacent the head and adjacent the piston top land 28 when the piston is at the top dead center of its travel

The Anti Polishing Ring technology is a long term
experienced product in the Wärtsilä group.
Its main advantages are:
- Reducing Lube Oil Consumption
- Reducing wear on liner (no bore polishing)
- Reducing hydrocarbon and smoke emissions
- Reducing turbine fouling
- Maintaining cleaner lubricating oil and engine
- Maintaining cleaner piston top and piston ring areas

The Anti Polishing Ring is a separate ring installed in the
upper part of the cylinder liner. Since its diameter is smaller
than the liner diameter, it must be installed once the piston
is in place.

A carbon cutting ring, also termed an anti-polishing ring or fire ring, is now a common feature of four-stroke engines, specified to eliminate the phenomenon of cylinder-bore polishing caused by carbon deposits and hence significantly reduce liner wear. It also promotes a cleaner piston-ring area, low and very stable lube-oil consumption, and reduced blow-by.

The introduction of the so called Antipolishing Ring (APR) has revolutionized the 4-stroke engine industry to the
benefit of the users.
The main effect caused by the APR is that the carbon deposits on the piston top land cannot touch the cylinder liner
surface. Thus bore polishing and rubbing off lube oil from the liner surface, as illustrated above, is avoided.

Liner with installed Anti Polishing Ring (APR), which prevents formation of deposits on the piston crown top land. The APR does not need to be specifically fixated, as the thermal expansion of the hot ring keeps it perfectly and tightly in place.

Polishing (bore)
Excessive smoothing of the surface finish of the cylinder bore or cylinder liner in an engine to a mirror-like appearance, resulting in depreciation of ring sealing and oil consumption performance.

Crown -- the top of the piston in an internal combustion engine above the fire ring, exposed to direct flame impingement.
http://www.noria.com/dictionary.html

During the current decade new engine design features have been introduced by many of the OEMs, the most notable being the flame ring. This additional ring installed at the top of the cylinder liner gives a mere clearance fit with the piston crown. Consequently, deposit build up on the crown land is controlled to the extent that as the piston tilts during thrust and anti-thrust motions rubbing of the crown land on the liner surface is minimal.
