Esatto: l'espressione "Γνοθι σεαυτόν" [Gnothi seautòn] è tratta dagli scritti di Platone, come dice il richiedente, ma è chiaramente la frase più famosa di Socrate (che non scrisse nulla e tramandò tutto oralmente, soprattutto a Platone, suo allievo prediletto, attraverso le cui opere abbiamo potuto conoscere il maestro). Questa frase era il motto scritto sul frontone del tempio di Apollo a Delfi, su cui poi il grande filosofo basò il nucleo del suo pensiero.

  -> Grazie e Ciao Paola. Hai ragione: la "reference" te la riporto subito: è il mio Liceo Classico, che ho terminato purtroppo in tempi "preistorici" (magari avessi di nuovo quell'età), come si può leggere anche nel mio CV sul profilo :-)
