He sees how shrill she becomes around her friends; she sees how susceptible he is to peer pressure.

Hi, pretty generic really, I just can't bring to mind the Italian equivalent for "peer pressure" other than something like "conformità al gruppo", which seems unecessarily wordy and not quite on target, or perhaps "pressione di gruppo", but is this equivalent?.

pressione del gruppo


Explanation:
Sarebbe la pressione che esercita su di lei il gruppo in cui si trova: può essere resa anche come "pressione sociale", ma in questo caso il fenomeno è su scala ridotta, trattandosi solo delle persone che la circondano direttamente (amiche, colleghe, compagne...).

Asker: Thank you so much Adriano. I think "pressione del gruppo" is more suitable for the expression "group pressure" in English. Here I needed I fairly idiomatic general term. But your assistance was most appreciated.
