in questo contesto credo che per "flat solids" intendano "flat areas of colour", "large areas of solid colours", ossia ampie aree in tinta unita (flat qui inteso come privo di dettagli).
In genere si possono verficare delle imperfezioni nella stampa di aree molto estese di un singolo colore, in tinta unita (possono risultare poco uniformi). Quindi se per questa stampante non rappresentano un problema, sicuramente è una caratteristica importante, al pari di sfumature omogenee, qualità delle immagini o resa dei particolari più minuti. |
