regione a diffusione P-well Explanation: Il termine "quantum well" è adeguato per componenti optoelettronici. Per diodi e transistor i termini "P-well" e "N-well" denotano delle regioni di semiconduttore di tipo P, cioé positive, o di tipi N, cioé negative. Il primo link indicato sotto fa riferimento ad un articolo della rivista "Elettronica Oggi" che parla di "regione a diffusione N-well"; da cui si ottiene l'analoga definizione per il tipo P: "regione a diffusione P-well" Il secondo link può aiutare a rendersi conto che P-well e N-well riguardano tecnologie VLSI, di trattamento dei semiconduttori.
