Non vi chiedo la traduzione: vorrei solo sapere se nelle piattaforme Win32 (in lingua inglese) esiste un servizio che si chiama "registry". In altre parole, se la traduzione della parte finale del paragrafo riportato più sotto va impostata come
"se il servizio Registry remoto è disattivato", oppure come "se il servizio del registro di sistema remoto è disattivato".

The ProcessHost() subroutine uses the Win32::Registry extension to query a remote machine's registry. First, the subroutine attempts to connect to the remote machine. This connection fails if the remote machine isn't a Win32 platform. Likewise, the connection fails if a remote Win32 machine prevents access to its registry (e.g., if the person running the script doesn't have permissions to access the machine's registry) or if the remote registry service is disabled.

Grazie! In definitiva ho deciso di usare "servizio Remote registry" in questo caso specifico e - ovviamente - "registro di sistema" in tutti gli altri casi.

Ho visto un po' di pagine in italiano su Google inserendo Win 32 remote registry.

Da quanto ho trovato rimane in inglese dato che non ho trovato riferimenti con registry tradotto.

Ho fatto un\'ulteriore ricerca con Win32. In alcuni siti si parla di registry e in altri viene tradotto con registro. Penso che sia indifferente. Io personalmente in questo caso lo lascerei in inglese. Ti segnalo dei siti dove l\'ho trovato in inglese.
