il problema è il termine feathered. Ho trovato "a bandiera", quindi con un motore a bandiera. Ha senso?

Explanation:
Le eliche a bandiera sono eliche che hanno la possibilità di disporre le pale ad un calettamento prossimo a 90°. Questo permette ad un velivolo plurimotore di fermare un motore in avaria senza che l’elica del motore fermo giri come mulinello creando resistenza.

Ovvero le pale essendo orientate quasi a 90° non offrono grande resistenza e quindi migliorano l'asseto e la spinta offerta dal resto dei motori (o dal secondo motore) permettendo di decollare ed atterrare con più facilità. Però sarebbe più corretto dire che l'elica è a bandiera e non il motore!
