Italian translation: pedana e poggiapiedi

Part of a wheelchair. I am confused> I thought pedana would be good for f-rest and poggiapiedi for foot plates, thinking the former would be in one piece and the latter in two, but they are both in two pieces so I have no idea what the difference is (no illustration)

secondo me si tratta di sinonimi in inglese, quindi utilizzerei due sinonimi anche in italiano. Non lascerei assolutamente "footplate" o "footrest" in inglese (e perché mai, dato che esistono equivalenti italiani?).

Explanation:
Ho trovato un sito su google dove traduce footrest in pogguapiedi e lascia invariato footplate che a mio parere essendo entrambi composti di due pezzi, sono la stessa cosa, almeno hanno la stessa funzione, ma forme diverse.
