Il Caller-ID, da anni in uso all'estero e solo di recente in Italia, e' stato oggetto di numerose contestazioni.
Determinante per consentirne l'introduzione e' stata la possibilita' per chi chiama di disabilitarlo una volta per tutte oppure chiamata per chiamata.
Questo strumento si e' rivelato spesso utile per identificare non professionisti del reato, e per limitare le chiamate di disturbo.
Per essere letto e' necessario apposito apparecchio omologato.
Diverso e' il problema, sotto il profilo delle intercettazioni, dei tabulati delle telefonate, spesso rinvenibili anche dopo mesi.
