Non capisco il significato di "a clear for".

Explanation:
dovrebbe essere questa, cioè la cancellazione dei dati sul display

la funzione CLEAR dovrebbe differire da DELETE. La prima (Clear) dovrebbe "ripulire" tutto il display, la seconda solo l'ultimo carattere inserito.
