  -> 縄張りというのは普段自分の遊びに行く場所や仕事（例えばタクシーの運転手）などが普段行くような場所を意味します。例えば、新宿によく遊びに行く人は、「新宿は私の縄張りみたいなものだから」というような使い方をします。この場合でも当てはまると思うのですが・・・

創作活動をする場所


Explanation:
またまた推測で、かなり意訳っぽいのですが。キャラクターものとか景色という題材が、作品を描くうえで多様であったというような意味です。自分の芸術を生む場所として多方面にチャレンジできるとか、題材が沢山あるとかが”diverse"で、創作活動は遊びのように楽しいので"playground"という言葉を使ったのかと想像します。

訳はぴったりとはいっていないので、参考になればうれしいです。

やっぱり創作活動をする「場所」はおかしいですね。ジャンルとか題材とかの方が理解しやすいかもしれません。
