に伴う Explanation: attendantには、出席の、付き添いの、という意味のほか、付随する、(結果として)伴う、関連するなどの意味があります。例としては attendant circumstances 付帯状況 risks attendant on breathing your neighbor's fumes 隣にいる人の副流煙を吸うことに伴う危険 などがあります。 ただわからないのは、通常attendantはonまたはuponをとるのですが、ご質問の文ではattendant toとなっていることです。もしかしたらattentive (toをとる)に近い意味かもしれませんね。attentiveは、に気を配る、に忠実である、といった意味です。 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs 54 mins (2004-04-07 17:28:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 一つ訳語を思いつきました。動詞のattend toには(人の)世話をする、(客・注文などに)応じる、という意味があるので、ご質問の訳として「に対応する」というのはどうでしょうか。 |
