The translation of strength above is fine. However, "Lord" is normally translated as 主(shu)。

E.g. 2tim: 4:17
But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength

Shikashi, Shu ha, Wata(ku)shi to tomoni tachi, watashini chikara wo ataete kudasaimashita.


Shuha, wata(ku)shi no chikara desu.

But then again, if you are talking to a non-Christian, or to a Japanese who is not familiar with the term "Lord" referring to God, then the translation above may be more appropriate.
