I agree with Katalin, this refers to something like an "on-the-spot" presentation. So it's not a powerpoint, meeting room thing. It's giving whoever the info really quick, right there when they ask for it.
What they mean here is a quick, on-the-spot, easily understandable explanation. The cocktail napkin presentation refers to cases where some great ideas were first put on paper at cocktail parties, literally on napkins, while two scientists were chatting.
