上記文の｢sub cmc concentration｣の定訳がわかりません。　cmcが臨界ミセル濃度なのはわかったんですが、｢sub ｣が付いた場合の定訳がわかりません。　subcritical micelle concentrationだと思い、subcritical で｢未臨界｣｢亜臨海｣など合わせてみましたが、検索してもヒットしませんでした。　よろしくお願いします。

サブcmc

Explanation:
この場合、単にサブcmcと訳されるのではないでしょうか。また、concentrationはcmc、critical micelle concentrationの略なのでcmcの後に来るconcentrationsは重複しているように思えるのですが。

cmcという略語にとらわれず、この部分の意味をくみ取るという方法はいかがでしょう。
単に「臨界値以下のミセル濃度」ということで。

どうしても、ここでcmcを使わないと後でつじつまが合わなくなるという場合は、この手は使えないかもしれませんが。

「亜臨界」「ミセル」の検索だと、結構ヒットしますよ。
