"Extend char"keyというキーは日本語キーボードにはないのですが、Altキーのことでしょうか?

A more direct way to bring a specific window to the front is to place the mouse cursor anywhere inside the desired window, press and hold the"Extend char"key, and click the mouse's left button. The selected window rises to the foreground.

extended character
Explanation:
As I suggested in your last question, this is definitely not Windoze, where clicking is enough.

In keyboards for MS DOS, Windoze, and certain other operating systems, an "extended character" is one that more than one byte to express to the driver. In other words, everything except ASCII and control characters.

I'm not sure offhand whether Apple uses this terminology for its Alt and Cmd keys.

Thank you very match. Your explanation is very useful.
As you mentioned, if it were for Windows, a click would be enough.
I think you are the most correct technically.
