English term or phrase: use the toilet with VP
障害のある子どもに自分でトイレに行けるようにする訓練という内容の文です。その子にuse the toilet with VPができるようにするのが目的なのですが、このVPが何の略かがわかりません。

Japanese translation:verbal prompt
Explanation:
Since the text about toilet training autistic children, I think VP means "verbal prompt". I guess in Japanese that would be 言葉指示 or something similar.

If you Google "autism" and "verbal prompts", you will get lots of information on how verbal prompts are used in teaching practical skills to autistic children.

I copied two links at the bottom.
The page at the first links talks about verbal prompts, for hand washing.
The second one talks about the use of verbal prompts in general.

disagree  Katalin Horvath McClure: Vertical platform lift = vertical [platform lift], a lift that lifts the platform vertically. I don't think vertical platform lift would be abbreviated as VP, and "vertical platform" doesn't make sense. And why would they need such a lift for the toilet?
