Explanation:
大抵はこれでOKです。英語の場合、受動態で主語を隠すことがしばしばありますが、日本語の場合はもともと主語がいらないケースが多いので、「AはBであることが分かった」と言ってしまえば通じます。「示された」「見せられた」など受け身っぽく訳す必要はあまりありません。
ただし、具体的なshowの主語がある場合は、例えば"the virus was shown to be ... by Dr.***'s research"→「そのウイルスが....であることが、○○博士の研究によって示された」というような言い方をする場合もあります。
