Then present the expanded full term translated into the target language. This way, the reader will be presented with the terminology in a form others will understand (the English and the acronym) and a form they will understand (the Japanese).
So it may seem like a cop out, but my opinion is to leave it as is. USB is USB, a CD is a CD. SSH, SS/L, TCP/IP, RAM, CPU, and more. They're all acronyms that have become nearly universally understood. |
