As Akio-san pointed out, probably 本人訴訟 is more common. Personally, 自己訴訟 sounds somehow more natural to me, but I think it depends on who is referring to the case, i.e. 本人訴訟 is more general but if it's the plaintiff who is talking about the case, 自己訴訟 could be used as well.

実は、Petitionerを完全にPetitionと読み違えて「自己訴訟」と提案したのですが、文字通りいくならば「自己訴訟原告」または「本人訴訟原告」ですね。すみません．．．。一方、Attorneyの欄にPetitioner in Pro Perと書いてあるならば、弁護士をたてず本人訴訟であることを示すためであって、Attorneyが原告であるといってるわけではないと思うので、自己訴訟または本人訴訟だけでも良いような気がします。これは自己弁護かもしれませんが（笑

自己訴訟をexactでgoogleしてもあんまり出て来ない。自己裁判はもっと少ない。で、確かめたら、Wikipedia に正式なエントリーがあるのは「本人訴訟」だけ？（言いますか？日本の皆さん、、、）google しても圧倒的多数、、、

自己訴訟の方が個人的には違和感無いんですが。
