これは代理人契約書の一文だと思うので、ここのpremisesは前提とか根拠という意味ですよね。自分は法律は専門ではないので定訳があるのかは定かではありませんが、自分の知っている代理人契約書では、『本契約に従い、甲は乙に対し、甲が製造する製品をXXXXXXX（通常販売エリアが入る）において乙が販売する権利を付与する。』といった感じの一文が良く目にします。ご質問の分ではHEREBY さんが弁護士を代理人に立てる際に署名をする契約書だと思いますので、ここは当該個所を訳しだすより『本契約に従い、・・・。』とさらりと通り過ぎる方がすっきりするかと思います。
