アンケート翻訳をしています。

回答者の雇用形態を聞く質問で、その答えの選択肢にFulltime、Part time、そしてRetiredがあります。

Fulltimeはフルタイム、part timeはパートタイム、でいいと思うのですが、Retiredの場合、どう訳すのがいいと思われますか？

引退、退職かと思ったのですが、どうもしっくりきません。

引退、でいこうかと思っていますが、もっと合う言葉はないかと探しています。

退職（者）


Explanation:
様々な職種に対応するには、一般的に職を退いた者ということで「退職（者）」いいと思います。また、「者」は場合によってつけた方が場合もあるかもしれません。それから、「フルタイム」というのは、あまり適切ではないと思います。パートタイム雇用に対しては、正社員雇用という言葉があるからです。法律的に両者は差別化されているはずだからです。保険や待遇の面で。派遣社員はまた別になるでしょうが。。。

agree  Peishun CHIANG: Akiko-san と同意見です。「者」がなく「退職」や「定年退職」は動作を表す名詞で、人を表してはいません。アンケートの選択肢でそのような書き方をたまに見かけます、それでも意味は分かりますが、良い表現ではありません。「フルタイム」ではなく「正社員」という指摘も適切だと思います。
