| English term or phrase: test spots | It's not my teritory, but somehow this job landed on me.
The whole phrase is:
It is highly recommended to perform test spots when using the 1064nm wavelength to treat darker skin types (Fitzpatrick IV-VI).
A previous translation says あらかじめしみでテストを行う, but I am not convinced that the spot here refers to しみ. Could it mean to perform a test on a small spot on the skin?
I would appreciate an explanation of what it is and its Japanese equivalent, or one of the two.
Thank you! |
