ご指摘のとおり、セックスという言葉は直接すぎ、避けたいですね。
ですがそれを暗示することによって、offensive になることを避ける方法はいくらでもあると思います。私の答えに offend した方がいたらゴメン。

大人なら、わりとケロっと使っている、
別にいやらしさはこもっていない表現ではないでしょうか。
あまり大げさに遠回りする必要もないような気がします。

ちょっと思わせぶりなフレーズですが...。
ボニーレイットはブルース歌手(ギタリスト)で、かなりアダルトなアレンジを聞かせます。どちらかと言うと通好みの渋いアーチストです。音は結構ハードですが。
ボニーレイットを聞いて"better than sex"と言える女性は、若々しい少女ではなく、
ある程度人生経験を積んだ大人を連想させます。よって、さりげなく「これ、たまらないわね。」といってもサマになるシチュエーションではないかと思いました。

I briefly looked at the passage and see it's still talking about that spectacular and gorgeous turntable the author's wife is commenting on. Then, maybe something like this "こんなイカしたものない(わ)ね。"? Quite "movie-ish", I must admit, though.

Please look at the particular way of noting the phrase; I took into account putting this in the context in the original dialogue: "My wife heard a Bonnie Raitt record on it and said, 'Oh God, that's better than sex. Whatever it takes, you have to have that turntable.'" In short, she was impressed with the turntable in there, while anyone can claim to be impressed with his/her own ways of exclamation, can't we? ; )
