次のように「唯一残った請求」という意味には解釈できない文例があります:

In its letter of 13 March 1996 Opponent I requested that the appeal be rejected as inadmissible as at the oral proceedings before the Opposition Division the appellant had withdrawn all its prior requests and had maintained a new main request which was allowed by the decision under appeal (main request).

Even if the appellant had been disappointed by the Opposition Division's attitude vis--vis its then valid requests when the oral proceedings were resumed after the first interruption, nothing prevented the appellant from maintaining these requests. However, it then withdrew all its prior requests and filed a new sole request which was eventually allowed.

上記のような用例を見ますと"sole request"と"new main request"が同義で使用されているように思われますので、とりあえず「新たな主請求(sole request)」とすることにいたしました。

USPTOのサイトで"sole request"を検索してもヒットするものがないようですののでEPO独特の用語かと思われます。

なお、"sole request"がたんなる「唯一の請求」というような意味で使われているのではないらしいことは次の例からもわかるかと思います:

He can choose to agree unreservedly to the version communicated pursuant to Rule 51(4) EPC, thereby elevating this version to his _sole request_.

どこの国の審判ですか？また、上の文と下の文が同じ文書のものであれば、上の文ではappelant、すなわち、審判請求人は１人（もしくは１社）、下の文ではappellants とあるので、審判請求人は複数ですよね。また、この審判は何を請求する審判でしょうか？無効、取消、etc.
