Does anyone know what IMer means (especially pertaining to Olympic swimming) ?

I am guessing from my context that it might refer to swimmers that swim in the 100 meter race, but I am not sure.

Here is the context: (it is a line in a film abut swimming)

I hate beeing categorized as just an IMer and I really want to branch out, so I'm just really excited to see where I can take myself in the 200 and 400 freestyle.
