Hotels always seem to play an important part in rock and roll, and Hollywood is no different. If only the walls at The Hyatt on Sunset (8401 Sunset Boulevard) could talk. When British bands first invaded this hotel in the 1960s, it was simply known as the Continental Hyatt House. Before long, it became known as "Riot House," thanks in part to Led Zeppelin racing Harleys down the hallways, among other more sordid endeavors. Room 1015 bares the distinction of being where Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards mooned the world and dropped a TV out the window.

Cinefil’s mentioning “アッカンベー” reminded me of my days as a very young girl in Nishi-ochiai. Every morning one summer, my best friend くりちゃん (with her short haircut and wide heart-shaped face that fit her name perfectly) would arrive outside our house and call out “ジョーーーーイスちゃん！あそびましょ！”
Sometimes we’d practice our アッカンベー faces and roll over giggling. :-D We also played kankeri, takeuma, menko, ohajiki with the rest of our Chibikko Gyangu. You can imagine how long ago that was! :-P
Mooning is more of an adult prank. Mooning is done for a variety of reasons – good or bad, and sometimes in the Japanese アッカンベー sense of the word - but mainly in goofy, silly fun. :-)

mooningは日本で言えばアッカンベーみたいな行為だと思いますがリチャーズがこの行為を行った事由によって訳し方が違ってくると考えます。

Hi! "Mooning" has been around for ages. It's just one of those weird things that (immature) people do to amuse themselves, shock others, have a laugh, etc. Living in the States, I'm sure plenty of people have had the experience of having being mooned. I've even had some loony college friends moon others while we drove by in a car. (Back in them-there days.) :-)

尻出し

「碧眼の阿修羅」の序章に書かれていますが、豊田がパブに戻ったとき外国人のむき出しの尻に歓迎を受けました。
ズボンを下げて尻を見せるのを「ムーニング」といいます。

いくつかの文化においては、「ムーニング」は抗議、侮蔑、苛立ちの表現の形であり、股、ある文化においては他人にショックを与えたり、ふざけたりするために行なわれるものです。

歴史を通じて、たくさんの「ムーニング」についての記述が見られます。 1346 年、百年戦争のとき、ケアンの闘いにおいて何百人ものフランス軍兵士がイギリス軍にムーニングをしました。これは、しかし苦痛を伴う失敗でした。というのはイギリスの弓兵は強力で正確な長弓を使っていたのでフランス人兵の尻を狙い放題でした。

イギリスの王室の人々もつい近年このムーニング事件の犠牲者になりました。女王エリザベス 2 世がニュージーランドを訪れたとき、マオリ族の活動家にして根っからのムーナーであるタメ・イティによってムーニングの歓迎を受けました。彼はそれはマオリの抗議の形式であり突発的にやったのではないと言明したのです。そして 2000 年には王室に反対する尻だしイベントがバッキンガム宮殿の外で行なわれました。大勢の人が王室に抗議して宮殿に向かってムーニングをしたのです。そして何人かは逮捕されました。

米国ではムーンニングの慣行を祝う毎年の行事が行なわれています。例年催されるアムトラックムーニングは 28 回目になります。 1979 年、ケー・ティー・スミスという男が「マグズ・アウエイ・サロン」で次に来る列車にムーニングをしたものには一杯おごるというオファーをしたのです。おそらく仲間内の冗談で始まったのが毎年何千人も集まるお祭りになったわけです。

ムーニングは映画やテレビで繰り返し描かれています。「ラストタンゴ・イン・パリス」でマーロン・ブランドはパトロンにムーニングをしてダンスホールから蹴りだされことになりました。映画「ブレイブハート」のなかでスコットランド軍は戦いの火蓋が気って落とされる前にイギリス軍にムーニングをおこないました。ホーマーとバート・シンプソンは熱心な尻だし男です。

スポーツ選手はムーニングの慣習に肩入れしています。イギリスの最も有名な事件は1979年のＦＡカップの準決勝で起きました。アースナルのサミー・ネルソンが 1 対 1 で引き分けに終わった試合の観衆にムーニングをしました。ムーニングはしばしばアメリカンフットボールやラグビーチームの試合後の祝いの一部になっています。ラグビー選手はしばしば卑猥な歌を歌うように煽りながらムーニングを行ないます。

ロックスターたちはとかく振る舞いに問題がありがちですが、ムーニングで知られています。

「ブラック・サバー」のオジー・オズボーンは 2005 年の有名なイギリス・音楽ホールで聴衆に対しムーニングをしました。観客はスタンディング・オベーションをもってそれに応えたのです。

ムーニングに性的差別はないのですが、大概男性によってなされます。しかも酔っ払っている男です。それは楽しいものですが、ときに場所と時間によってはトラブルの元になります。

漫才コンビ「トミーズ」の健が中国海南島のお寺でムーニングを行ったかどで中国の公安から尋問をされ、厳重注意を受けました。彼は日本へ帰国する前に謝罪の手紙を書かなくてはなりませんでした。
