English to Korean translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general) / Gas compressor manual
English term or phrase:unit
"In the proximity of the unit and during its operation, it is of chief importance to follow the basic safety rules."
How do you translate the word "unit" in this sentence?
Unit stands for "gas compressor", so is it ok to talk about "제품" or "기계"? do you have any better suggestions?
Explanation: "제품" or "기계" would be okay but it'd be better to add "이" and say "이 제품" or "이 기계".
It could be also translated as "이 장비" or specifically as "이 가스 압축기".
e.g. "이 장비의 근처에서"
I suggest that you choose "이 장비" or "이 기계".

You can also say "본 장비" or "본 기계" if you want it to sound more formal.
