|English term or phrase: God is never far Away|
|It's part of a song and a friend is thinking of having the latin trnaslation tattooed on his back in Gothic lettering.|
Deus umquam abest
One of reasons why I find Latin fascinating is its conciseness. Just one verb "abesse" comprises all meanings of physical and spiritual absence. Of course God is Deus and never is umquam. You could turn the phrase, however, and say that God is always near and immanent: Deus semper adest (from adesse, the mirror verb of abesse).
