This is the common term for the 'science of war'; Vegetius' manual on warfare, for example, is entitled 'de re militari'.

The science of war as owned by warriors would be best rendered by 'bellatorum scientia' or 'bellatorum peritia', both 'the warriors' science (knowledge, skill)'. |
